Hi, folks! I have not posted in a while due to work and personal obligations, but I wanted to write to let you know that I will be back writing in September. In the meantime, I am working on a book proposal and that extracurricular work will take up a lot of my free writing time during the summer. The book project explores understanding the law - particularly as it relates to elections and politics - through the lens of the 2020 election and the January 6th coup attempt. It will not be about polling, but many of the ideas I am working on were examined on Margin of Error Blog in late 2020 and in 2021 as events unfurled.
Starting in the fall I will start posting on the 2024 election season: following the polling; explaining campaign tactics; monitoring voting rights/suppression laws and cases; and offering suggestions for you to participate in the election. In addition, I will workshop book chapters - possibly through a separate blog, but possibly on here. I will keep you informed as that develops.
I may drop a post here and there before September if something really important happens and I have the time to write on it. In the meantime, have a great summer and I will see you the fall!
